How to: Paper Swallows Wall Decor

I came up with a quick, easy, and cheap-o solution for my decor and decals craving. I saw these set of birds as wall decor at Target and I was real tempted. But it was all plastic and came with a ton of pushpins so it was a no-go for me. Plus, I didn’t want to spend any money on home decor when my stay here at this location is decided on a month-month basis. So here are some examples of wall decals I’ve been drooling over:
There are tons more but I’m trying to make this a quick blog to get on with my errands so that’s just a teaser for you. I combined the idea of wall vinyl decals & the 3D plastic birds from Target to come up with these paper swallows.
Easy Peezy Instructions
- paper scraps- try to keep it eco! I used only one brand new sheet of black paper. The rest were from scraps I saved.
- double-sided tape
- Trace or freehand out image of your choice. I just googled and traced mine. teehee*
- Cut them out. I slightly curled the wings on my swallows to give them a 3D look.
- Slap them randomly on your walls.
- Tah-dah! Told you, easy peeeeezy.
We’d love to see your walls so upload your decor pictures on our EcoMonster facebook page!

Enjoy!
