Rawr at Brooklyn Basin, Oakland

We celebrated our toddler’s 2nd birthday this weekend! Just like that, another rotation around the sun. We knew of the perfect venue this year especially after promising we wouldn’t throw a party at home for a while. It’s where we took her to learn how to walk, run, now scoot, and for many more future outdoor activities.

Knowing we were limited on time with planning, we went with catered food, sheet cake, and minimal decorations. The details weren’t perfect but something I wanted to make sure was to be present with my little and not get distracted with the things that don’t really matter once the party is over. That’s my code for saying it was still chaotic but who cares. Our birthday kid had a blast and I have the most precious video capturing her scooting for the very first time ever on her birthday so mama is happy.

The polaroid card holder I made were a hit! I’ve created a free Canva template for anyone interested below. Please tag me @ecomonster on IG so I get to see your creation.

I printed on cardstock. For printing settings I changed it to 4 “copies per page”. Using an exacto knife to cut two slits to hold polaroid in place.

Venue: Lumpia Company

Cake: Elite Bakery (guava)

Party favors: Bubble tree bubbles

E-vite: Paperless T-Rex
